Not all but majority of people that you will meet in your life will know someone that owns a house cleaning business. It's the type of business that anyone can pick up if you have a passion for cleaning and you can get paid good money for doing it.
I was talking to a friend that owns a house cleaning business and they told me it's a very scalable business if you know what you are doing. She said majority of the time, people that need their house cleaned and usually people that never clean their home. Why would they if they could pay someone to do it for them? She said she only needs just over a dozen weekly clients to pay her bills and she loves it. She will get a call once or twice every fortnight to clean a new client's home and majority of the time they become a regular customer.
She told me;
"it's all about being yourself in this job. A lot of people don't like unknown people entering and cleaning their home but if you come of like just another friendly person and not a business that's trying to make money out of you, the job becomes that much easier."
You see a lot of people are put off by someone cleaning their house because they believe it's "too expensive" but trust me it really isn't. A lot of people these days have the perception that house cleaning business's charge upwards of $50 or more for an hour but they thing is these are commercial big name business and they are really any different to the smaller house cleaning business's. The only difference would be the cleaners just where branded shits and that's it!
My friend, along with several other small house cleaning business's charge no more than $30-40 and hour and trust me it doesn't take long to clean a house when these people do it. To be honest i would rather someone that i could start a conversation with and is friendly cleaning my house than a massive business that sends foreign, non-speaking workers over to my house.
I think when it comes to choosing whether to have someone clean your home for you, you need to make a decision on what you value more time or money. If you’re on an average salary of $20-30 an hour I think you need to view having a clean house 24/7 as 2 hours of work out of your week. Honestly if it was me I’d rather spend my weekend with friends, family and having fun rather than spending a Sunday afternoon cleaning my house from the week before. If you’re interested in getting your house cleaned by someone that actually is genuine and is going to make your life a hell of a lot easier visit activehousecleaning.
